Our dataverse test server is running nginx rather than Apache and using podman. I want to install Shibboleth. But the official dataverse instructions seem to be intended for Apache without containers. Can anyone tell me what my next steps should be?
A message was moved here from #containers > podman instead of docker by Philip Durbin 🚀.
@Don Sizemore do you remember if this has come up before? Using nginx instead of Apache for Shibboleth?
@Renee L. @Philip Durbin 🚀 it has. Shibboleth requires Apache's mod_shib, but Slava successfully containerized them behind Traefik by sending some additional headers. Those specific headers may be buried in the now-hidden Slack archive =(
Right, right @Slava Tykhonov does say "integrate a separate Shibboleth container for the federated authentication" in his README at https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse-docker
