Heads up that @Mahendra Paipuri created https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/pull/12544 to internationalize password reset emails! :tada:

@Alyssa Conlon (and others), it got me thinking... would Borealis (or other installations) be interested in reviewing or testing this pull request? It would give us, the core dev team, more confidence when merging.

Morning @Philip Durbin ๐Ÿš€ ! I just wanted to circle back to the password reset email. We reviewed the code and nothing's jumping out as being a major issue for the translation/internationalization. It seems like a good idea to have this email in the bundle file, and we were wondering if the other hardcoded emails are also going to be moved eventually?

Oh! Are you saying this is a more general problem? Does Dataverse only send email in English?

We have the translated emails hardcoded too, it's just slightly more inconvenient to make changes for hardcoded things. One example we'll have to review soon is updating the name of the support team from Dataverse to Borealis Support Team, which will require more involvement from the systems team, so yes having the emails in the bundle is more convenient but at least we are able to send them in both languages
