I think it's a good idea. Do we have to submit anything for it? Also, for the poster, I wrote the abstract recapping what we've done and will be submitting it later today.
Nope, we just need to let @Felipe Gómez-Cortés know.
Ha! Great title! :tada:
The content too. Looks great!
the abstract looks great to me too! i've commented on a couple grammar things, otherwise looks great.
I just heard we should be able to have a hybrid meeting.
Hey everyone. Just passing along more info about the satellite meetings during this year's Dataverse Community Meeting.
Working group leads interested in meeting in-person and online on May 12 can use the DCM2026 registration form to request a meeting for the working group.
On the registration form, WG leads will need to include a list of in-person attendees, who won't be let in if they haven't registered and aren't on the list, and are responsible for letting group members know about the May 12 meeting and for any marketing for new members.
@Julian Gautier thanks!
@Dieuwertje Bloemen how does this look? It's a doc to start collecting names of attendees: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uQIZtN6yuqH2XlcfRxNKa3KGvbsxT-fHIUZzKOZGR2k/edit?usp=sharing
I went ahead and added it to our web page under a new heading called "next in-person meeting"
It looks like this:
BTW: Our poster got accepted :tada:
@Dieuwertje Bloemen great news!
@Vaida Plankytė 🎨 bummer! Enjoy the time with your family!
Hi everyone. I'm waiting for a response from my manager to find out if I can register for the DCM :fingers_crossed:
@Amélie Fiocca that would be great! Tell them we NEED you!
The tentative schedule was just sent around:

Here's a first version of the poster. I just need to add a part at the bottom to attribute the use of AI for the creature image creation and to maybe allow space for a QR code for the training resources form if we want to promote that there (I'm not sure it's ready yet?) If you have any ideas/suggestions on how to improve it, let me know. I initially wanted to add like "attack power" score tags to each creature, but not sure how to make that relevant to documentation

@Dieuwertje Bloemen back from vacation! This looks great!
Even without the QR code, you have a link at the bottom, which may be good enough.
did i misunderstand a pun or is there a typo in "fantactic"? is it to do with tactics?
for attack power, good idea, the structure and idea is really cute (though i must shake my grumpy fist at AI-generated graphics!), maybe just a simple document icon with three levels of "attack power" (could just be 1 red/2 yellow/3 green pluses next to the icon or something) to showcase the impact of each?
Indeed, a typo. Will fix it.
And I agree that real art/graphics by a person would be nicer, but I'm so unskilled in actually executing what I have in mind that this was as best as I can do with the time (I will say, I described them very detailed, so not the entire creative process was AI). But I can only do stick figures, so that wouldn't have looked good. I'll see if I can just add something small to indicate time spent or impact in some way.
Here's the form, what do you think?
It includes all the languages of the ISO standard to be as inclusive as possible! but maybe it's too much...
Gristform
Then I could generate a QR code like this, for example?

A message was moved from this topic to #docs > training resources by Philip Durbin 🚀.

I've had this experience too. It's work! And requires creativity!
If we had budget, we could hire @Vaida Plankytė 🎨 to make art for us. Or my brother. Maybe we should write a grant.
@Philip Durbin 🚀 I just signed up for the meeting, as the deadline was extended!
Same!
@Oliver Bertuch @Deirdre Kirmis great! The more the merrier!
Put my name down as well!
@Bryan Gee sure! It looks like someone (probably @Dieuwertje Bloemen) already added you to https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uQIZtN6yuqH2XlcfRxNKa3KGvbsxT-fHIUZzKOZGR2k/edit?usp=sharing

In this pdf, you can find all information on how to get to the working group meeting on the 12th. The meeting will be at 9:00, but please make sure you're at the BSC reception 20-10 minutes beforehand, as they'll collect us from there and lead us to the relevant room. For more information, read the pdf.
See you all next Tuesday

Nice turn out!

I tried to create a docs group logo :sunglasses: what do you think about it ?
![]()
@Amélie Fiocca I love it!
If you make it into a hexagon I'm happy to use it for a sticker :-)
Minor thing: "Doc" rolls of my tongue a little off. May I humbly suggest doing a variant with "Docs"?
BTW the LLM botched up the tiny text in the glasses. Or at least I can't make out what's written there.
Hmm, yeah, I agree that "docs" (plural) sounds a bit better.
Ahh! The poster is so good! Great job, @Dieuwertje Bloemen! ![]()
