Topic: Switching PID provider at collection level

Good morning, Sorry if this is not quite the right channel.

I have a question. In a future version could Dataverse allow collection admins (not just superusers) to choose the PID provider (e.g., DOI vs PermaLink) for their own collections—at least for drafts? This would let our stewards follow local policy without breaking our collection structure. What do you think ? If its possible to be considered is it best to open a GitHub issue?

You're welcome to create an issue about this. The approach we take in cases like this is to split off a permission that is currently lumped in with another permission. For example, in 6.8 we split off the ability to link datasets and collections into their own permissions: #11691. (@Vera Clemens is the one who did the work, thanks!)
