FYI: I'm in the process of including Dataverse as one of the many services in Platys, a tool for generating flexible docker-compose stacks for PoCs and demos: https://github.com/TrivadisPF/platys-modern-data-platform. It's currently in the 1.17.0-preview version.
We are using the docker compose setup in a customer's project where we want to showcase Dataverse as the publication platform. Platys makes it easy to combine Dataverse with Keycloak, Minio, ..... and other services which are part of a modern data platform. But of course the goal is to use Kubernetes once we are sure that the customer is happy with a certain combination of tools ...

Oh that is very interesting to hear!
You are very welcome to join our efforts in all of these areas
We definitely lack lots of integration when it comes to OIDC. Just recently we merged stuff to make things easier. Will be part of v6.1, ETA end of year. Here's the docs preview: http://preview.guides.gdcc.io/en/develop/installation/oidc.html#provision-via-jvm-options
(Also enabling PKCE support on backend)
It would definitely be great to have some people contributing to our container and orchestration efforts :smiley_cat:
@Guido Schmutz we have a weekly meeting about containerization and I'd love for you to come and tell us about Platys, if the time works for you! Please see https://ct.gdcc.io
Hi @Philip Durbin thanks for the interest, yes I could join this week and tell you more about Platys, and probably even better demonstrate how it works and how it is used ...
@Guido Schmutz fantastic! I just put you first on the agenda! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rwqWUpLwCM1sKtvMBBv65PbBNtJ9UDRwTuoo699MckY/edit?usp=sharing
@Philip Durbin perfect, thanks a lot! Looking forward talking to you tomorrow.
@Guido Schmutz amazing presentation! THANK YOU! Here's the recording: https://harvard.zoom.us/rec/share/XAsfCi18HhPdVxe9NZPvAAqt4SId1H_i7CH7ePrpsMzQ690sZiwkgW9_6Rqo9tuQ.NuIo-gsuEZCuUMsa
You had a few slides as well, right? Are they online? Can I link to them? This is for DataverseTV: https://dataverse.org/dataversetv
@Philip Durbin thanks for the opportunity to present today! Have uploaded the presentation as PDF to Github: https://github.com/TrivadisPF/platys-modern-data-platform/blob/develop/presentations/platys-two-pager-v1.0.pdf
Perfect! Added! Thanks!
Next we should announce your talk on https://groups.google.com/g/dataverse-community
I'm happy to do that (they know me) or you could. You'd do a better job explaining it though.
@Guido Schmutz how does this look?

Hi @Philip Durbin sorry was busy the whole morning, thanks for doing it for me  looks good to me :+1:
Great, I just announced it here: https://groups.google.com/g/dataverse-community/c/MiqYv5L6Qqw/m/Os_oYTsvHAAJ
And linked to it from #community > now on DataverseTV
@Guido Schmutz would it make sense for me to reach out to any of the people behind the software that Dataverse already integrates with? To ask if they would like to be supported on Platys, I mean? https://guides.dataverse.org/en/6.0/admin/integrations.html
Renku is in Switzerland. :grinning: :flag_switzerland:
Hi @Philip Durbin sorry for not answering earlier, last week was quite busy ... yes if they support running in a docker container, I'm happy to support them on Platys :-)
Awesome, great to hear.
