UCLA Dataverse has been using federated login. This morning a reasearcher at jpl/nasa wanted to download some publiaclly accessable data. The federated list has caltech but not jpl. How do enteries get added to federated?
(Nothing like angry, frustraited faculty first think in the morning.)
Don Sizemore (Feb 21 2024 at 12:14):Good morning, Harvard and UNC use the InCommon Federation https://incommon.org/federation/ but that may not be what UCLA Dataverse is using. You either want to get JPL/NASA added to your IDP metadata feed, or you can "wedge" the JPL/NASA IDP metadata into your shibboleth2.xml via an include. Or if they support OIDC or OAuth2 you can add JPL/NASA's key and secret?
