In the campus directory I see a givenName that Dataverse is using, and an eduPersonNickname with the desired value. It is my understanding that Dataverse will update Shibboleth attributes in the DB at each sign-in, I'm curious how many installations have encountered such name change requests?

Don Sizemore (Sep 10 2026 at 20:29):@Philip Durbin 🚀 we have a faculty member who says that he updated his e-mail address, but in the campus directory I see the same e-mail address that's stored in authenticateduser - Dataverse constructs the persistentuseridentifier using the IDP entityID and the EPPN, but Dataverse always matched on e-mail address. assuming he did change it, should I expect Dataverse to simply update the e-mail address?
