When a data producer adds or updates a new dataset in Dataverse, an automatic notification email is sent to all registered users in the system, informing them about the inclusion of the new dataset in the repository. How can I disable this option for sending updates? Users have been expressing concerns about this behavior.

Each new user registered on the platform is assigned a role, as shown in the image below.

Sherry Lake (Jan 11 2024 at 14:27):At UVA, we have this set up for each collection (we - the admins create collections, so we have to set permissions for anyone to deposit). Only those creating the dataset get an email.
We have nothing in the User/Groups roles. We just take the defaults for "Curator" from the permissions box:
