@Péter Pallinger hi, sorry to hear about this. It sounds a lot like this issue that was fixed in Dataverse 6.11:

Does that sound right? Is it worth upgrading to 6.11 to see if that fixes it?

It seems like that PR (https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/pull/12366) does fix HandlePidProvider.createIdentifier, a bit similar to the code already in the DOI PidProviders.
We will consider when we can update (we have a fork of dataverse that heve some extra functionality like ro-crate support built-in).
