I had a quick play with h5dump and HDFView and, yes, you can see the folders inside an HDF5 file. Needs more exploration.
Also, maybe "file hierarchy" don't capture enough. Maybe "contents" is better? There's all kinds of interesting stuff inside HDF5 files. :happy:
