Should we send a proposal for the meeting about the working group? (Lightning talk) and maybe also for a demo?
Deadline for proposals is 2023-04-14
Ha! I had the same thought. Yes, I think we should!
Here, I started a doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CAFkfK-xYjxkqcSPfvVtKnLg4GBrbFKOyrP6Dy25gXE/edit?usp=sharing
We should talk about sending in a proposal for a lightning talk and/or a demo for DCM 2023. Deadline is Wednesday
A message was moved here from #containers > proposal at DCM2023 by Philip Durbin.
Yes, please! Thank goodness for the deadline extension!
So... How do we do this proposal? Demo means 300 words minimum (which seems odd to me)
And who wants in on this?
Because we need to put names
@Philip Durbin can you bring this up during the call?
@all dear container workgroup and friends, please let us know if you want in and are at DCM2023
@Oliver Bertuch sure, please just add a bullet to the agenda: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TmvLrvDJ2dtPN6e6Iu4RT-qFQo4XeR5Tn-TGhvB9mFE/edit?usp=sharing
I created an open doc to work on this together here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AUeuaqeEVkm0FP_YMYxBCe53FPjy2n1350RXz3iNoiI/edit#
Looks great!

that's a pointy-point, not a typey-type
"First we will click here. Then we will click there."
@Philip Durbin please let me know what you think of the abstract in https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AUeuaqeEVkm0FP_YMYxBCe53FPjy2n1350RXz3iNoiI/edit#
Feel free to hack away
Looks great! I added a few suggestions. No need to accept any of them.
All incorporated. Thank you!
They will have to live with 266 words now
(Instead of 300)
It already started to feel like lots of blah blah blah
Oh a MINIMUM of 300 words! Yes, it's already a bit wordy. 266 is close enough!
See? That's what I mean... It's odd!
So, let's see if we are having a demo at the conference... Today they wanted to announce who's in
Oh! Today! Great!
The Organising Committee will send you a notification of acceptance / rejection: 28 April
The demo has been officially accepted
We're in :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Fantastic! One last detail for me is to make sure I'm allowed to go.
Yes please make sure you can come. Here's an argument: I need you for the demo.
I'll be in on Saturday already due to direct flights from DUS being served Sat and Thu.
So we'd have Sun to hack on stuff
Looks like we maybe should demo what we can do with containers now and testing stuff. Not just API tests, but also serve as integration test blackbox for code around Dataverse
It looks like our demo is on day 2 (June 6): https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/dcm2023/program#widget-7
Good times in Portugal: https://dataverse.org/blog/dataverse-community-meeting-2023
Resolving.
Philip Durbin has marked this topic as resolved.
