Hi everyone, I'm Deirdre Kirmis and I manage our Dataverse installations at Arizona State University. We've had our production Dataverse up and running now for about 2 1/2 years, and our largest dataset is 17TB! We are running our installations on AWS so I've had a fun time learning about its different services to keep our site up and running! The folks here are truly awesome!

Hi all.
I'm João Cardoso. Some of you met me during the DMC2023. I'm a data steward with the Portuguese national funding agency (FCT|FCCN). I'm one of the acting product owners of our Dataverse installation Polen Repository. I'm also one of main advocates for interoperability of our multiple services with machine-actionable data management plans. So If you ever feel like discussing that (or other topics) feel free to reach out.

Hello Dataverse community,
I am Julien from the French University of Lorraine.
https://dorel.univ-lorraine.fr/
I have just “discovered” the possibilities of the Dataverse solution.
One of my first tasks is to plan with my colleagues the migration to a new French national installation from our current "local" installation in version 5.10.
We are working with Dimitri Szabo to make this migration to the French national Dataverse installation possible.
https://recherche.data.gouv.fr/en
I will probably come with a lot of questions about this. (API mostly)
Cu around to share and discuss,
Best regards

Will do! In which channel would you create it? It would interesting to get some insights into the community, like the amount of people that are familiar with galaxy or even use it.

Hello Dataverse community!

I'm Charity Everett, a creative technologist and researcher specializing in XR data visualization. I'm excited to join this group and contribute to the evolution of Dataverse. My background includes fellowships at MIT's Open Documentary Lab and Harvard's Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, where I've explored innovative ways to present complex data through immersive technologies.

I'm particularly interested in how we can leverage WebXR to enhance data exploration and analysis within Dataverse, making datasets more intuitive and accessible across disciplines.I've recently launched a startup, DataversiveXR, where we're collaborating with subject matter experts to create immersive WebXR experiences for journalistic publications.

This work aligns closely with Dataverse's mission of making data more accessible and understandable. I'm eager to explore potential synergies between DataversiveXR (https://dataversivexr.com/) and the Dataverse community, and to contribute to building out an XR-enhanced Dataverse.

If you'd like to connect or collaborate, you can find me on GitHub (https://github.com/CharityEverett) and LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/charity-everett-3798852a4).

Looking forward to engaging with you all!

Hi, I'm new here trying to learn about this amazing project, because a very good friend who is into Education in Arts and Culture ask me if I can help him to setup a open data platform for researchers in that field.

So here I am learning and mounting demos in Microsoft Azure mainly, because that's the standard in his department.
