Hi there, I wonder if there is a set of instructions available for moving datasets from a Dataverse repository to another open source platform. Does Dataverse offer a 'data dump' exit option? If yes, what that data looks like? Thank you!

Probably your best bet would be the BagIt export endpoints: https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/installation/config.html#bagit-export which may work well if your target platform supports importing bags?

Yes, great answer by Don. I also think BagIt exports are the way to go here.

Two other things. There's a thread on the mailing list that started 12 (!) years ago about round-tripping content that's related. It ends with Jim brining up BagIt.

Finally, I long time ago I heard about the Data Liberation Front at Google which has the goal of making it easier for users to move their data in and out of Google products. I aspire for the same thing for Dataverse. :smile:
