Hi to all,
iΒ΄d like to know if anyone has got an experience with duplication of records in Dataverse.
I will try to explain what am i looking for.
We have some datasets that are published within a project we are participating on. And these datasets belong to different series that means into different dataverses. So my question is, is it possible to create duplacates of these records/datasets with same DOI so i can file them into relevant collections?
@iveta.krejci hi! Yes, we call this "linking". That is, you create the dataset in one of the collections and then go to the other collections and click "Link Dataset".
Here are the docs: https://guides.dataverse.org/en/6.4/user/dataverse-management.html#dataset-linking
@Philip Durbin π Hi and thank you for your advice, i did look at it and yes it is the way. Thank you!
I am not the main administrator to be able to have a full access to be able to manage features which Dataverse can offer.
Right, right. You might need to ask someone with "superuser" access to link the dataset for you.
What version of Dataverse are you running?
v. 5.12.1 build 1122-cf90431
Thanks, I'm looking at https://guides.dataverse.org/en/5.12.1/user/dataverse-management.html#dataset-linking
Does the "add dataset" button appear for you on the collection where you want the dataset to appear?
No it doesnΒ΄t
this is all i get

Sorry, I meant "new dataset". Strange. It should work. That is, I would guess that "link dataset" should appear for you since you see "new dataset". That's what the docs above say anyway.
Are you able to check with an admin who has more access? To see if they see the "link dataset" button?
Thank you so much for your time that you are putting into resolving my issue. I will ask my superuser admin and will see. Once i will have an answer i will let you know.
