I look for a possibility to hide Dataverses for specific persons / groups.
I would like to create a group A and a group B. Persons who are in group A are not allowed to see that group B has a Dataverse. Is that possible?
Oliver Bertuch (Mar 12 2024 at 15:15):Yes and no. When you press "publish" on a Dataset, it is going to be visible (the metadata will be public anyway). If you're talking draft datasets, take a look at group permissions for collections.
Oliver Bertuch (Mar 12 2024 at 15:16):If you're using the permalink provider, the public metadata isn't perfectly true. But the current logic in Dataverse does not apply permissions to published datasets, as this was never a real use case. It would require an extension of the code.
