Hello again,
I wish to migrate Datasets already published with different versions (majors and minors) to a new Dataverse Installation.
Is is possible to only "migrate" the latest version of each Dataset with its own DOI and Publication Date and doen't keep the previous version.
The Native API 5.10 can manage version ajustement for a Dataset but only if the dataset is already publised (version 1.0).
Is it possible to directly publish a dataset an a particular version. For example in version 3.1 for particular case of installation migration.
Thks in advance, I don't have any clues for now... how to do that.
Generally speaking, I believe what you want is to "import" the dataset: https://guides.dataverse.org/en/5.10/api/native-api.html#import-a-dataset-into-a-dataverse-collection
Thanks again.
I understand but I need to be more specific, when I talk about versions,
I mean version Number of dataset :
I have already transfer the dataset metadatas and Datafiles in the latest version but I need to keep the version number too. For example 3.1 because of scientific links or quotes to this number version in papers that quotes it.
To make sure I understand...
There would be only one version of the dataset. That version would be 3.1, for example.
Yes that's the goal just keeping the latest version number of each Datasets after migration.
Is the old system also Dataverse? Or something else?
To be precise the migration is between a dataverse installation 5.10 to 5.13 with no SQL just with API and "superadmin" Token attribution.
Ok, Dataverse to Dataverse should be easier than non-Dataverse.
Good idea to bring this to the list! https://groups.google.com/g/dataverse-community/c/NwIFODp4I0A/m/xrH422EuAAAJ
