Both repo have not been updated for many years.
https://github.com/CDLUC3/Make-Data-Count uses https://github.com/atmire/COUNTER-Robots and we decided to make a PR here https://github.com/atmire/COUNTER-Robots/pull/61.
My question is : what is the future of Make Data Count and Counter Processor in Dataverse ecosystem ?
Must we make an effort to keep https://github.com/CDLUC3/counter-processor up to date ?
Philip Durbin 🚀 (Jan 24 2024 at 14:14):A new way to support MDC has been created at https://github.com/datacite/datacite-tracker but we suspect it doesn't "just work" with Dataverse. Plus, because it runs in the browser, it doesn't count API downloads. See #community > DataCite Usage Tracker
