Hi all :)
Question 1 : When a dataset see all its versions being deaccessioned, does Datacite's DOI status change from Findable to Registered?
Question 2 : When I use API curl -H "X-Dataverse-key: $API_TOKEN" -X POST http://$SERVER/api/datasets/$dataset-id/modifyRegistration and all versions are deaccessioned ain't the code made to make it Registered ?
Question 3 : Is Datafile related to deaccessioned versions are changed to Registered in Datacite ?
Using the https://doi.test.datacite.org/ I don't see any of this but in production I don't know if we did manual change but I see deaccessioned dataset with Registered status and datafiles with Findable status.
Hi @luddaniel , I can only answer your first question. DataCite will not automatically change the DOI status from "Findable" to "Registered." At Cirad Dataverse, we have some datasets where all versions are deaccessioned, and I had to manually change the DOI status in DataCite Fabrica for these specific datasets.
