Hello,

I'm in the process of implementing a self-hosted dataverse instance for our research group, and I have arrived at the question of who our PID provider will be. Following the recommendation in the docs, I'm looking at DataCite, and I'm curious if the offer around the consortium membership is still active. The community website linked for reference to this is down.

https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/installation/config.html#id131

DataCite (https://www.datacite.org) is the recommended DOI provider (see https://dataversecommunity.global for more on joining DataCite through the Global Dataverse Community Consortium)

Hi! Yes, we're aware of the troubles with the GDCC website: #community > migrate GDCC github pages

Yes, the offer is absolutely still valid.

It looks like an archived version can be found at https://web.archive.org/web/20210129200333/http://dataversecommunity.global/services

It says to email Jonathan_Crabtree@unc.edu which is probably a good place to start.

@Christopher Tastad I just checked and Jonathan should be the right person to email.
